On the last morning of Convention our session was themed around 'international peace' - our speakers, guests and final event all drew this most important issue together. Delegates were asked to wear a white top and bring a teddy.

You, the delegates have made this Convention a real success! This opportunity only comes every four years. We reviewed our successes, planned our future and discussed together the issues which affect us all. We had the opportunity to meet our friends and enjoy a great social events programme together: we had five stimulating days making being a Soroptimist meaningful and worthwhile – 'Women making a difference'.
The mountain of teddy bears brought to Glasgow by delegates will be taken by the city's Lord Provost to Malawi for children there - as a sign of our commitment in continuing our work for peace, whether that is locally or internationally.
